Dr. Matthew Blondin has been serving the eye care needs in the Torrington area community since 1979.  He is a 1975 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1979.  He is both DPA and TPA certified, and currently offers a complete range of eye care services including blood pressure screening and glaucoma testing. His office is equipped with the latest in computer technology including the Marco Automated Refracting System, GDx Nerve Fiber Analyzer, and the G1X Peripheral vision analysis.

 

Dr. Blondin provides a full service eyewear selection including many designer frames, transition lenses and lightweight polycarbonate lenses, Acuvue® contact lenses and various varieties of sunglasses.

 Co-pays are payable, before seeing the doctor

Prescriptions:

Will not be accepted from other Doctors
Will not be accepted within 30 days of expiration
Will not be accepted over one year old

Glasses:

Deposit of at least 50% required to order
Repairs only done within a year on frames purchased here
No Refunds - Must be picked up within 30 days
We do not put new lenses in existing frames
No separate frame sales

Contacts:

No sample contacts will be dispensed
We take no responsibility for contacts purchased elsewhere
No Refunds - Must be picked up within 30 days

Insurance:

A copy of your insurance card is required before your exam
Will not be accepted or submitted after the time of your visit - Valid on date of visit only.
Secondary insurance is not accepted

VSP and Medicaid are the only insurances accepted for Glasses or Contact Lenses
